Cincinnati XChange Artshow Recap [PHOTOS]

This past weekend I had the opportunity to be apart of an event in Cincinnati titled ‘Xchange’ on behalf of the The Free People It was an event celebrating local artists, activists and entrepreneurs who use their creativity as a vehicle for social change. NEW YORK, NEW YORK!!

A getaway trip to the city of bright lights. From the streets to the subways, these are some photos from New York City from the weekend of Nov. 28-30. Artshow: ArtsX @ Bowling Green State University

ArtsX is an art show at BGSU that showcased student work and faculty work. This past weekend I had the pleasure of viewing all of this artwork and seeing all the talent that BGSU possesses in the arts. There was a bunch of different mediums ranging from photography to oil on canvas to sculpting to psychedelic dark rooms. Here’s a few flix from the show.

I also got the chance to chop it up with a graduate student by the name of Amanda Hertz. While the show was going on she was simultaneously working on one of her pieces to be included in the next semi annual art show to be in March 2013. It’s always great talking to artists in other mediums and just in general. Amanda you are extremely talented and I wish you the best with your work.

Most artists were cool with me taking photos of their art and some weren’t lol. I was able to snap these first 2 photos before the artists said “You want make photo? You buy, go home and make photo!” haha my bad dude.

Black Swamp Arts Festival 2013 [PHOTOS] Part 1

Ok, so this past weekend I had the chance to attend Ohio’s biggest free art festival, The Black Swamp Arts Festival. There were hundreds of painters, sculptors and photographers there showcasing and selling their work. There was also any kind of food you could have wanted ranging from Thai, New Orleans and Hungarian just to name a few. Of course I brought my camera along and I took hella photos so I’m splitting the post up into 2 parts. Enjoy!

EVENT: Connect The Dots @ Locals Sports Bar 9.12.13

This Thursday, September 12th there will be a networking event at Locals Sports Bar in Cincinnati, Ohio from 8pm-10pm. This is a great opportunity to link up and build connections with other artists, entrepreneurs, photographers and designers in our area. I’m definitely looking forward to this event, If you can make it out this Thursday I hope to see you there.

EVENT: @markbwavy Photo show at Unheardof Brand 8.3.13

Ecstatic isn’t even close to the true definition of how I’m feeling right now but it’s the best word I can think of at the time.  Proud to announce that I will be having my first photo show Saturday, August 3rd at Unheardof Brand from 7pm-9m| 341 W. 4th Street. Cincinnati, Ohio 45202. There will be photos on display and for sale. And thank you again to the good folks over at Unheardof.

EVENT: From the Crown Up

I’m proud to announce that some of my work will be on display at the event From the Crown Up.  From the Crown up is an event catered towards budding entrepreneurs and industry professionals in today’s entertainment, business, apparel, art and beauty industry. The event is scheduled for July 30th, 2013 at Bar 13 in NYC, starting at 7pm. It’s a networking event for the dreamers, taste-makers and professionals aiming to leave their footprints through their pursuits.
